Noise Hotel

Noise Hotel is a Toronto-based indie rock quartet steeped in nostalgia, with a penchant for velvet & neckties. First emerging from the Ottawa indie scene, Noise Hotel has captivated fans with infectious riffs, undeniable stage presence, and a unique world for their music that makes audiences feel like they’ve truly ‘checked in’ to something special.

Inspired by films like Fear & Loathing In Las Vegas as much as they are by the music of artists like Arctic Monkeys & The Backseat Lovers, Noise Hotel situates their music (and their fans) into a world of their own making, where each listener is a “valued guest”, and each song a luxury suite. Noise Hotel invites the audience to “enjoy their stay” as they build an immersive world for their music to live: whether on stage or in the studio.

Initially formed in 2022 by university roommates Eric Montpool (guitar/vocals) and Christian Strong (bass), Noise Hotel’s official lineup came together in late 2024 with the addition of Brendan Vandepol (drums) and Matthew Scharfe (guitar). Since, Noise Hotel has brought their “living room indie” sound to festivals & venues like NXNE & the Horseshoe Tavern, and have shared stages with artists like Kasador, The Kilans, and Charlie Houston. Called “the new indie rock band to watch” by Merged Media, Noise Hotel is just getting started.

Noise Hotel self-released their first single Tea For One in 2023, and their debut album Poolside Fantasy —produced by Capital Music Award winner Kieran Isley— hit streaming platforms in Summer 2024. Their music has been reviewed by publications across Canada, the UK & USA, and singles Diet Cigarette & My Last Girl have earned regular radio play on college stations. Noise Hotel’s next EP Trade Secrets hits streaming services this April, with their sophomore album Leisure Theory following in Fall 2026.
